On May 7th, Science to Street Art received a Creative Communities grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board to support Science to Street Art and the Science to Street Art Festival. During the festival, a group of local and national street artists will create several murals throughout the City of Madison. The festival includes workshops that focus on using street art to depict science concepts learned in the classroom.

What is a Creative Communities grant?

“The Creative Communities (CC) grants program encourages arts education and community arts development in Wisconsin. It provides support for projects that further the Arts Board’s goals in the following three areas: Arts EducationFolk and Traditional Arts, and Local Arts. Through direct financial support of specific arts projects, the Arts Board sustains the vitality of Wisconsin culturally, educationally and economically.”
