The Science to Street Art initiative is a collaborative project that aims to visually inspire STEAM education and careers through the innovative planning, design and management of public spaces known as placemaking.

UW-Madison scientists and regional street artists will team to create science themed educational pieces in areas whose populations are generally underserved and unrepresented. Science to Street Art will culminate with the creation of five innovative and diverse murals that promote science and diversity with an unveiling in 2019.

Mural locations will be determined based on communities that lack public art. If you have a location that you think fits with the project goals please email Ginger Ann at ginger.ann@wid.wisc.edu. We value community feedback!
